Derrek's rescue story

Gina

Derrek was rescued after racing at Birmingham Race Course and Orange Park Kennel Club, both of which closed in 2020. He found his home with GREY2K USA Worldwide Research Director Patrick Baga. Derrek now spends his time hiking trails and going to the beach, and is living the good life that all dogs deserve.

The cruelty of greyhound racing know no borders. Greyhound racing hurts dogs and exists in the United States and six foreign countries. Thankfully, 42 American states have now outlawed this outdated form of gambling, but we will not rest until racing is prohibited everywhere.

50,000 innocent hounds at 116 remaining tracks worldwide need your help right now! Please sign and share our petition to help generate indvidual emails to the leaders of all commercial dog racing countries.

Throughout the world, racing dogs are born to a life of misery. Even the most successful greyhounds find themselves abused, abandoned, starved, neglected and killed. You can help save gentle hounds by supporting our campaign to end racing worldwide today.

GREY2K USA Worldwide is a non-profit 501(c)4 advocacy organization located at 7 Central Street, Arlington, Massachusetts 02476. 100% of donations support our mission to end dog racing, pass greyhound protection laws and promote greyhound adoption. We are grateful for personal and corporate contributions. Because GREY2K USA lobbies for greyhound legislation, contributions are not tax deductible.
