At the urging of GREY2K USA and the RI Defenders of Animals, and in light of poor revenues from live racing, Twin River first suspended live racing and then supported a bill to prohibit the activity altogether.1 In May 2010, Governor Don Carcieri signed into law a bill repealing the live racing requirement.
