On April 13, 2026, Neil Duncan-Jordan MP hosted an evening reception for GREY2K USA Worldwide and the League Against Cruel Sports for the release of our new joint report, Reaching the Finish Line: Time to End Dog Racing in the United Kingdom.

Seventy-five guests gathered in the Thames Pavilion at Westminster for light refreshments and sparkling conversation, all fueled by the successful dog racing prohibitions passed in Scotland and Wales just days before. Our host was joined by his fellow MPs Fleur Anderson, Chris Hinchliff, Ruth Jones, Rachael Maskell, Adrian Ramsay, Lisa Smart and Hannah Spencer.

Our new 46-page study reveals a fading and unpopular business that has rebuffed all warnings, ignored popular calls for change, and failed to introduce even the most basic protections to stop the killing and cruelty of innocent hounds. Our original joint report of 2014, entitled Mandate for Change, was intended to prompt the industry to do better. But it has only done worse.

We were particularly thrilled to bring together our wonderful allies from multiple countries including Animal Aid, Born Free, Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation, Causeway Coast Dog Rescue, DEEL Sighthound Rescue, Dogs Trust, Forever Hounds Trust, Four Paws, Gamban, Greyhound Awareness Cork, Greyt Exploitations, Hope Rescue, Pet Levrieri, the Royal Veterinary College, RSPCA, Scotland Against Greyhound Exploitation and the Shut Down Campaigns.

Our day began with a visit to 10 Downing Street to support the petition of Animal Aid, which was delivered right to the door of Prime Minister Keir Starmer along with our new report! You can add you voice by contacting Mr. Starmer now.
