Grey2K USA:Protecting Greyhounds Nationwide

**URGENT ACTION ALERT** - May 14, 2008

Last Chance for Bill to Help Greyhounds -- CALLS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY

***PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY AND CROSSPOST TO ALL E-MAIL LISTS***

Friends:

This morning, the Concord Monitor reported that an important bill to help greyhounds is on the verge of being killed by the New Hampshire Senate.

Right now, racing greyhounds are not protected under the state's anti-cruelty law.  They are treated differently, and it is not a crime to harm these gentle dogs.

House Bill 1430 will change that.  It will restore greyhounds to the protections of the anti-cruelty law, and make it a crime to harm them.

Unfortunately, time is running out for this humane proposal.  If Senator's don't vote on the bill by tomorrow (Thursday, May 15) it will likely be killed for the year.

Please call your State Senator immediately and ask him/her to support House Bill 1430. To find out who represents you in the State Senate, click here.

Please call your Senator now.  The greyhounds are counting on us.

For the dogs,
