GREY2K USA:Volunteers Needed to Help End Dog Racing in NH and Lobby for the Animals

Dear Friends:

GREY2K USA and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) are hosting four grassroots meetings in January, where participants will learn how to make a tremendous difference for animals.

We will discuss tips for citizen lobbying and our current legislative agenda, including the Greyhound Protection Act, a bill to end greyhound racing in New Hampshire.

Remember, the dogs need YOUR help to pass the Greyhound Protection Act. Our bill has already been filed, and lawmakers will need to hear from as many greyhound advocates as possible over the next few weeks. Volunteers will also be needed to attend State House hearings, once scheduled.

HSUS will discuss bills to regulate puppy mills and fund the state spay/neuter program. You will have an opportunity to meet others in your community who share your concern for animals and discuss specific ways to improve existing animal protection laws.

Please join this urgent campaign and attend the training session near you. And don't forget to invite your friends!

Please remember that you can also help by making a donation. It is crucial that the Greyhound Protection Act pass this year. Funds are needed now to provide information to legislators, produce volunteer packets and pay for major media outreach.

Please make a generous donation today.

The greyhounds are counting on each of us to give them a strong voice this year. The time has come to end dog racing in New Hampshire, too!
