Hi, my name is Zoe and I was used for racing, came out a bit scraped up, but now live in a nice place with lots of good food and a big, soft bed (and four cats, hmm). Today, I am asking you to please help by adopting a greyhound like me in 2013.
In states like Florida, thousands of dogs are constantly bred into and discarded by racetracks each year, and the need for adoption is very great. Please see our dedicated web page for Sunshine State adoption groups here.
In Arizona, where Tucson Greyhound Park is now legally authorized to wind down live dog racing, hundreds of dogs are waiting for their second chance. Recently, the GREY2K USA Education was able to help Greyhounds of the Verde Valley with a $3,000 grant to fund the rescue of some of these dogs.
But no matter where you live, there are greyhounds waiting for help. Please consult our international adoption referral page or go to petfinder.com for the adoption group nearest you.
Bring a greyhound like me into your life, and find out how “greyt” your days will be!
