Greyhounds are dying for a $2 bet

Dear Friends,

It happens every day. Gentle, innocent dogs break their legs and crack their skulls — all while running for their lives at racetracks. Bettors place their wagers and just watch them die.

How could this be happening in our country? What can be done to change this?

At GREY2K USA Worldwide, we are working to expose the cruelty of dog racing as never before and we are getting results. Since our formation in 2001, we have helped to close thirty-one dog tracks all across the United States and blocked attempts to export racing cruelty to South Africa and other countries.

Did you know that 14,000 greyhound injuries including more than 1,000 racing deaths have been reported since 2008 alone? West Virginia is one of the most dangerous states for these dogs. So far this year, 293 dogs have been injured or died at the Wheeling and Tri-State dog tracks! Even track insiders are now complaining about the track’s rundown condition and lack of repair.

Kelsos Big Mossy fractured her leg

VJ Almostalright was killed in December 2015 after she suffered a joint dislocation when racing. Kelsos Big Mossy fractured his leg when racing at Wheeling in August 2016.

Meanwhile, greyhound breeders have been pocketing tens of millions of dollars in state subsidies, laughing all the way to the bank as the greyhounds continue to suffer. This year, we were able to cut these subsidies by $4 million and we are now determined to repeal them all.

Please sign our petition today! Then, please read about our successful strategy and make a donation so that we can end dog racing entirely.

For the greyhounds,
