 The Amendment will gradually phase out commercial dog racing over three years, and eventually end the state mandate for greyhound racing. In order to pass, the Amendment will first have to be approved by the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. If the CRC gives it a green light, the humane proposal would then appear on the 2018 statewide ballot.

Right now, a racing greyhound dies every three days at a Florida dog track. Thousands of dogs endure lives of confinement, female greyhounds are given anabolic steroids, and racing dogs are fed a diet based on dangerous “4-D” meat. This is the first opportunity to end this cruel industry forever. Let’s join together and make it happen!
