Dog racing is ending in Texas!

Dear Friends,

On September 30, greyhound advocates all around the world will light a candle to decry the cruelty of dog racing at Macau's Canidrome dog track. Whether on your own or as part of a group, your help is needed to call attention to what is happening to greyhounds at China's only commercial dog track.

Every dog exported from Australia to the Canidrome is killed. There is no adoption program at all. According to the tracks own records, 30-40 greyhounds are brought in and the same number destroyed each month. I was there recently and it is a terrible place.

Who: Everyone who cares about greyhounds!

What: Candlelight remembrance for the Canidrome greyhounds. Wear your #CloseTheCanidrom t-shirt

CloseTheCanidrome tshirtWhere: In your own home or as part of a public event listed here

Each participating group or individual should post event photos with the hashtag #CloseTheCanidrome and help garner as much social media attention as possible. We need to express our global outrage at what is happening to innocent dogs in Macau!

Click here to find an event near you or RSVP to host a personal observance of your own. Additionally, please order a campaign t-shirt made especially for this global campaign to shut down the worst dog track in the world.

Go team!

For the greyhounds,
