Dear Friends,

Hi, my name is Gina. I was used for racing, came out a bit scraped up, but now live in a nice place with lots of good food and a big, soft bed (and four cats, hmm). Today, I am asking you to please help by adopting a greyhound like me in honor of National Dog Day.

In states like Florida, thousands of dogs are constantly bred and then discarded by racetracks, so the need for adoption is very great. Please see our dedicated web page for Sunshine State adoption groups here.

Speaking of Florida, on Saturday, August 22 GREY2K USA volunteers hosted rallies at ten dog tracks all across the state. Hundreds of people participated and thousands of passersby learned about the cruelty of dog racing. See photos from the big day here.
