Celebrate National Dog Day!

GinaDear Friends,

Hi, my name is Gina. I was used for racing, came out a bit scraped up, but now live in a nice place with lots of good food and a big, soft bed (and four cats, hmm). Today, I am asking you to please help by adopting a greyhound like me in honor of National Dog Day.

In states like Florida, thousands of dogs are constantly bred and then discarded by racetracks, so the need for adoption is very great. Please see our dedicated web page for Sunshine State adoption groups here.

Chuck Speaking of Florida, on Saturday, August 22 GREY2K USA volunteers hosted rallies at ten dog tracks all across the state. Hundreds of people participated and thousands of passersby learned about the cruelty of dog racing. See photos from the big day here.

Would you like to be an active part of our worldwide effort to end dog racing too? GREY2K USA Worldwide's global race enables supporters to help greyhounds from anywhere around the world. Just create your own fundraising page – set your race length, donation goal and choose an event date that is convenient for you. Race on your own or start up a team.

Finally, have you entered our Greyhound Freedom calendar contest yet? Every page commemorates the milestones achieved in our fight to end dog racing, month by month and year by year. We are accepting entries through September 15. All winners receive a free calendar! Make your dog a part of history and enter today.
Thank you for helping needy dogs like me!
