Contest winners now featured live on our web site

Dear Friends,

Thanks to everyone who entered our greyhound testimonial contest. Your photographs were wonderful and we loved reading all of your supportive comments about the work of GREY2K USA.

At this time, we are proud to announce that this year's big winner is Anngi, a thirteen-year-old greyhound from Michigan. She raced at Shoreline Star in Connecticut and Orange Park in Florida and came home to Leo and Natalie Larkin shortly after their marriage in 2002.

Anngi will now appear on our homepage and the Larkins will receive a personalized painting from our resident artist, Danielle Festa.

But there's more! Fifteen other wonderful entries will also appear on our web site. Look for Bandit and Sweetie Pie, Flirty, Freddy and Billy, Gopher, Gracie, Irvin, Isis, Jock, Lily, Miss Sally, Player, Puma, Rhian, and Shayna on various pages throughout our web site. A short story about Sam, a greyhound rescued by Heather and Paul McComas of Illinois, is also featured on our State-by-State page.

GREY2K USA has been paving the way to freedom for greyhounds. This small organization has the commitment, knowledge, and wherewithal to give greyhounds the second chance they deserve. My greyhound Flirty has a heart of gold just like all of her sisters and brothers still waiting to be loved.

As we continue to work for an end to dog racing it is important to celebrate the beautiful greyhounds in our lives. Thanks to everyone for being a part of our team.
