Dear Friends,

As you may know, our sweet greyhound Zoe passed away in June. Zoe came to the GREY2K USA office each day, motivating us all to keep fighting for her follow greyhounds. But "ZoZo" was recently diagnosed with cancer, and despite all efforts at treatment, she died in just eleven short weeks. Always a fragile little dog, she simply could not withstand the attack of this terrible disease.

Zoe's loss has given me pause and made me remember that no matter what happens, this campaign must continue until all greyhounds are free from harm. Only by ending dog racing can we spare gentle hounds the cruelty of life in a racetrack cage and death at the hands of profit-driven owners. Only by closing down racetracks can all dogs get a chance at a normal life, the kind of life Zoe finally found at the age of five.

Zoe's best friend was another brindle greyhound named Hope, who was one of the last dogs to leave the now-closed Wonderland Greyhound Park. It is in Hope's name that we have created a special planned giving program called the Hope Fund. Leaving a bequest for GREY2K USA Worldwide in your will or nominating us as a beneficiary to your IRA, 401k or other retirement or insurance plan is an important way to ensure that our work to end dog racing may continue.
