Question 3 Under Attack – Call Your State Senator Now!
The will of the voters on Question 3 is again under attack. Your help is needed now to defeat amendments to the Senate casino bill that would allow Massachusetts citizens to gamble remotely on dog races that are held elsewhere.
One year ago, we asked you to make calls to defeat a similar amendment and thankfully, you succeeded. Now the greyhounds need your help again!
Please join us today to defeat Amendment 109 (by Senator Morrissey) and Amendment 111 (by Senators Pacheco and Menard) to the casino bill, Senate 2495. If either of these amendments pass, dog tracks will be allowed to continue taking simulcast bets on dog races taking place in other states. This conflicts with Question 3, which prohibited betting on both live and simulcast dog races.
In a spirit of cooperation we have even offered to phase out greyhound simulcast gambling, but dog track owners refused this compromise.
We have sent a letter to each member of the State Senate and ask that you join us in alerting the full Senate now.
Please call both your State Senator and the Senate President immediately. Tell them to uphold the will of the voters, and not extend greyhound simulcast gambling. Click here to verify who represents you – look for your “Senator in General Court”.

It’s now or never to finally put an end to dog racing in Massachusetts!
For the dogs,
