Dear Friends,

Today, we all have an opportunity to help end dog racing in Florida - home to more than half of all greyhound tracks in the United States.

Due to an antiquated state law, dog tracks are required to offer tens of thousands of races each year, no matter how much they are losing or how much the greyhounds are suffering.

Since the 2015 legislative session began, GREY2K USA Executive Director Carey Theil has been working in the capitol, meeting with lawmakers and testifying for the greyhounds. Grassroots volunteers have also held rallies all across the state.

Now it's your turn to act. Please do three things now:

1. Sign our joint petition with Greyhound Adoptions of Florida for the passage of a greyhound "decoupling" bill to end dog racing
   
   
2. Share this message of compassion and common sense on social media with a photo of your dog and fill in the blank: I'd rather be _________ #FreeFLdogs www.change.org/FLdecouple
   
   
3. Forward an email to all of the animal advocates you know to do the same
