ACT NOW! New threat to greyhounds in Kansas

Dear Friends,

On Friday, we asked you to write to the House Committee on Appropriations to ask for a no vote on HB 2173, a dangerous bill to reopen three dog tracks in Kansas. This bill will be heard tomorrow at 9 am. Now, we have just learned that the Kansas Senate will be hearing its own bill to do the same thing at 10:30!

SB 207 will be heard tomorrow morning in the Senate Committee on Federal and State Affairs, so please make three more calls to block this second effort to bring back greyhound cruelty to your state!

Immediate calls and e-mails are needed now. Ask Committee Leadership to Vote No on SB 207.

CALL AND EMAIL:

Chair Senator Jacob LaTurner

Be sure to put “Oppose SB 207” in your e-mail subject line.

For extra greyhound credit, please also contact the six members of the Committee as well!

Thank you for caring about the dogs. If we can defeat these proposals, the next move will be to make dog racing illegal altogether!

For the greyhounds,
