Dear Friends,

Thanks to an excellent group of volunteers, a signature campaign to help greyhounds is now underway in Central Florida! If we collect 13,300 valid signatures by June 10, we can place the Greyhound Protection Act on the fall ballot.

This humane proposal will ensure that greyhound injuries at Sanford Orlando Kennel Club are publicly reported, require trainers to provide information on the fate of dogs that leave the track, and eliminate a special interest loophole that exempts racing greyhounds from County animal licensing and inspection laws.

The passage of this humane measure will help greyhounds, and also send a message to every dog track in the state that we will fight for reform at every level, until the cruelty of greyhound racing ends completely.

Your help is immediately needed! We can win this important victory for the dogs, but only if everyone who cares about greyhounds lends a hand. This is an all-volunteer campaign, and our success literally depends on compassionate people like you. Greyhounds are suffering at Sanford Orlando Kennel Club, and it's up to us to help them.
