Dear Friends,
As I write this to you, we are commemorating our 18th year of fighting for the greyhounds! That’s right, Carey Theil and I formed GREY2K USA on February 7, 2001 and since that time you have helped us #CloseTheCanidrome in Macau and end dog racing at 30 dog tracks in 13 US states. November’s vote to phase out dog racing at eleven more tracks in Florida signals the beginning of the end of this cruel industry. Teamwork was the key to these victories, and we thank all of our allies across the globe.
This year, we invite you to celebrate these historic accomplishments in two ways.
To start, enter our Greyhound Smiles Contest by submitting one or more photos of your favorite smiling greyhound via our website by Wednesday, February 13th. The winner will be announced on Valentine’s Day and she or he will receive a beautiful greyhound statue. This contest is free to enter, but please limit two entries per person.
Then, please show your support for our mission to save dogs by donating $18 or more today. We hope you will consider making this a sustaining monthly gift so our campaigns can continue all across the globe.
With the support of dog lovers like you, we will keep bringing smiles to greyhounds around the world. Together, we can do it!
