Calls Needed to Help Alabama Greyhounds!

Dear Friends:

The greyhounds in Alabama need your help!

Soon, Alabama state lawmakers will vote on a proposal to legalize electronic gambling machines at Alabama dog tracks, including VictoryLand. Even though these gambling devices are illegal, they have been installed at local tracks and are being used to prop up the cruelty of dog racing.

As you may have read, Governor Bob Riley is working to remove these gambling machines from the dog tracks. At the same time, dog track owners are trying to pass a dangerous bill (House Bill 154) that would make these gambling devices legal.

Please call your State Representative and State Senator today, and ask them to OPPOSE HB 154. Tell them that you oppose this bill because you do not want the state to prop up the cruelty of dog racing. If you receive any feedback from your lawmakers, please forward it to us.

Please make your call today. Then, forward this e-mail to everyone you know and ask them to also make a call for the dogs.
