**PLEASE FORWARD AND CROSSPOST TO ALL LISTS ** West Virginia Injury Records Released Friends: Even though GREY2K USA has recently won several important victories for the greyhounds, that does not mean our work is over. In fact, we are working harder than ever to end the cruelty of dog racing in the eight remaining states in which it exists. Just today, we released new reports that document a staggering rate of greyhound injury at Wheeling Island dog track in West Virginia. According to state records, more than 700 greyhounds have been injured at this track since 2008, and 62 dogs have died. Also, more than 1,000 dogs were prevented from racing because of lameness or injury. These new reports also tell the sad story of dogs that suffered and died. For example:
