At GREY2K USA, we don’t just talk about protecting greyhounds. We get results. Since our formation in 2001, our major achievements include:

In 2010, the Rhode Island and New Hampshire legislatures passed our bills to prohibit dog racing.

In 2008, GREY2K USA made history by ending dog racing through the citizens initiative process. Question 3 passed overwhelming in our home state of Massachusetts.

More than two dozen dog tracks have closed or ended dog racing since our formation in 2001.

GREY2K USA authored the only state-funded greyhound adoption program in the nation.

Upon finding that greyhounds were excluded from protection under the anti-cruelty statutes of New Hampshire and Florida, GREY2K USA presented and passed legislation to restore greyhounds to full legal protection.

Our research has led to the exposure of hundreds of media documented cases of greyhound cruelty and neglect, including dogs testing positive for cocaine, dogs suffering terrible injuries and dogs experiencing severe neglect at racing kennels.

We have helped defeat every major attempt to subsidize dog racing with other forms of gambling. Similarly, we have also blocked all new tax breaks for dog tracks nationwide.

Since 2004, GREY2K USA has endorsed more than fifty greyhound friendly candidates, with a success rate of 82% on election day.
